Objectives
Technical
assistance project aimed to:

in doing business in cities
- Increased number in businesses
registered
- More effective Local Enterprise
Development Codes
- Increased access to information
on regulatory requirements
Major
Activities
Selection of 3 cities;
Assessment on licensing
and registration of business establishments
Improve policies and procedures in doing
business in cities
Diagnosis, re-design and testing of
the enterprise develop system
Review of investment code and organizing
for enterprise development
There were 7 Pre-identified
cities chosen, they are Bislig, Dipolog,
Koronadal, Malaybalay, Ozamis, Tacurong
and Zamboanga.
In the selection
of the three cities, we assessed them
with their commitment to implement
recommendations, willingness to provide
counterpart resources, presence of
an established and active local business
association, the scale of businesses,
scale of RPT collections, current
initiatives and presence of external
assistance.
We scored and
ranked the 7 cities with the criterias
listed before and Koronadal came in
at first with Malaybalay and Tacurong
coming in at second and third rank
respectively.
